Find Out If You Qualify for the AGL Fellowship (2026–2028 Cohort)
Eligibility & Fellow Profile
The Azm Global Leaders Fellowship seeks exceptional young people with Muslim roots who carry a principled, curious, and constructive outlook. Our fellows form a diverse global cohort representing many countries, disciplines, and life experiences—united by a commitment to values-driven leadership and positive impact.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Age 22–29 at the time of application
- Proficient in English (B2 level or above)
- Hold a valid passport through July 2028
- Available to attend three mandatory two-week in-person summits (held during the first two weeks of July each year)
- Able to commit a minimum of 2 hours per week to learning over the two-year program
What We Look For
Selection is highly competitive and rigorous. Beyond meeting eligibility requirements, we look for evidence of:
- Academic or professional distinction — a demonstrated record of excellence and sustained achievement in a chosen field
- Mastery in a specific area — whether professional, academic, cultural, or creative
- Integrity and character — supported by two references from colleagues or leaders who can speak to your values
- Leadership potential and moral courage — a willingness to act on principle, even when difficult
- Commitment to service and impact — relevant experience in community, professional, or academic leadership with a deep drive to create positive change
Who Our Fellows Are
We seek individuals whose lives already show the beginnings of purpose—people who act, who care, who question, and who are prepared to grow. Our goal is to build a cohort that is not only excellent but also representative of the richness of the global Muslim community, spanning regions, perspectives, and professions.
Fellows are open to rigorous learning across cultures and sectors. They bring diverse experiences but share a common thread: the desire to lead with integrity and build a better world.
