The Azm Global Leaders Fellowship is a prestigious, two-year, fully funded hybrid global leadership program that equips exceptional young Muslim leaders with the capabilities, opportunities, and connections to shape a bold, forward-looking world, plus a $10,000 USD award per fellow.
Why This Fellowship Exists
The world is facing a crisis of leadership. Complex global issues demand urgent, innovative solutions, yet traditional leadership styles no longer work in a rapidly changing, uncertain, and deeply interconnected world. Without visionary, values-driven leaders, the next decade could see deeper division, accelerating brain drain, and vast lost potential—especially in the developing world.
We believe a small group of principled leaders can change the trajectory of communities, institutions, and nations. The Azm Global Leaders Fellowship exists to find those leaders, invest deeply in their growth, and connect them to each other and to a global network of changemakers.
What Makes This Fellowship Different
Leadership programs are everywhere. What sets Azm apart is our integration of values-based development with world-class leadership training. We draw on the richness of Islamic civilization and ethical tradition while equipping fellows with the behavioral science, strategic thinking, and practical skills demanded by today’s complex challenges.
Our program sits at a unique intersection: global in scope, rooted in faith-informed values, and designed for leaders who want to build—not just critique. Fellows join a diverse cohort representing many countries, disciplines, and life experiences, united by a principled, curious, and constructive outlook.

Program Structure
The hybrid fellowship spans two years and includes three in-person summits held during the first two weeks of July each year. Between summits, fellows complete online modules, participate in discussion forums, and engage with faculty and peers. The program requires a minimum commitment of two hours per week.
Fellows progress through ten stages—from application through graduation—building capabilities, completing projects, and earning points that unlock additional opportunities at each phase.
